08.1Security Overview

Three properties, enforced at every layer.

Confidentiality

Access is scoped by identity, not by network. Every request is authenticated, authorized, and audited before it touches a record.

Integrity

Records are versioned and signed. If a finding changes, the ledger says who changed it, when, and why — and the change is verifiable.

Availability

The instruments you depend on are engineered for continuity — isolated tenancy, redundant regions, and SLAs we design to, not around.

Defense in depth / three layers

Enforced, not assumed

02 · Platform

Isolation is the default, not an option.

03 · Data

At rest, your data stays yours.

08.2Secure Development

The pipeline is the perimeter.

Threat modeling

Threat models are written before feature specs. Every new surface is scoped, and its risks are logged before code exists.

Review by another engineer

Nothing ships on a single pair of eyes. Every change is reviewed, and security-sensitive paths get a second review by the laboratory.

Automated testing

SAST, dependency scanning, fuzzing, and supply-chain checks run on every commit — failures block the build, not the release process.

Signed, immutable releases

Artifacts are signed and versioned immutably. Deployments are reproducible from a known-good state, never from memory.

Observability & response

Anomaly detection, audit trails, and a documented response runbook. Incidents are post-mortemed and the findings published.

08.3Responsible Disclosure

A finding moves the way it should.

01

Report

Findings go to security@bluebook.ai — encrypted in transit, read only by the laboratory, never shared beyond the disclosure.

02

Triage

We acknowledge within one business day and confirm scope, reproduction, and severity against a published disclosure policy.

03

Coordinate

Vendors and coordinators are engaged privately, first. A fix is developed and validated before anything moves into the open.

04

Publish

When a fix has landed, the finding is released — with attribution, a technical write-up, and a reproducible method. Not before.

08.4Compliance & Standards

Frameworks our program is aligned with.

Alignment describes our security posture and the practices our program is organized around. It is not a certification.

ISO/IEC 27001Aligned

BlueBook's information security management system is organized around the ISO/IEC 27001 control set — the discipline that governs how we select, operate, and review our security controls.

  • A formalized risk assessment that is revisited on a defined cycle
  • Documented access control and change management procedures
  • A defined incident response plan with named owners and escalation paths
  • Annual internal review of the security program's effectiveness

08.5Privacy & Terms

The fine print, written plainly.

Privacy Policy

Only what is required to operate the instruments you use: account identity, access logs, and the security assessment data you explicitly provide for processing. We do not collect data to sell, profile, or infer from.

Terms of Service

BlueBook instruments are provided for legitimate security research, defense, and intelligence purposes. You agree not to use them to attack systems you do not own or hold authorization to test.
